7 things I’ve learned while drinking Matcha for a week

Today, I want to share something with you.

A few things I've reflected on and recognized, while doing some planning, organizing and creating.

Today marks one week of my matcha tea journey.

Last week I decided to cut out the coffee and the wine, cold turkey.

I decided it would be easy. And easy it has been! Mindset is the biggest key in making any kind of health decision.

I simply didn't like how the coffee or alcohol made me feel. Tired, sluggish, irritable, and just blah.

One week in-

I've recognized that I am more rested,
I've recognized that I am more patient,
I've recognized that I have more energy,
I've recognized that I am more clear minded,
I’ve recognized that I am healing,
I’ve recognized that I am more intentional about what I put in my body, how I am moving my body AND who I am surrounding myself with.
I’ve recognized that I am happier.

I had to realize that if I wanted to be my best self for my family, for my clients and for myself, there were some changes I needed to make.

I had to realize that if I wanted to overflow into my family and my clients, there were some changes I needed to make.

I had to realize that it doesn't matter how healthy I eat or what herbal remedies I used a or moving into a clean home, if I still was not fully nourishing my body, I still would not feel the way I wanted to feel, so there were some changes I needed to make.

I had to realize that I do not need what no longer serves me. Food, people, thought patterns, beliefs. Whatever does not serve me, my body, my intentions, nor my family are being removed.

Many people that I’ve talked to have told me in their own way just how reliant they are on coffee and/or on alcohol. I believe this “need” is simply just an excuse to escape whatever they are not willing to face truth in their lives. Many know that it is bad for your body, causing hormonal imbalances, suppressing the immune system, and causing adrenal fatigue and weight gain. Yet we still do what is harmful for our bodies and wondering why we don’t feel well or why we are ill so frequently.

Unfortunately, we live in a society that glamorizes the chronic stress, hustle, and burnout while medicating every little ailment to put a bandaid on it instead of getting to the root cause. Many times the root cause is simply our thoughts and beliefs. Other times, the root cause is linked to our food choices and daily habits.

Mama, it gets to be easy. Only if you decide it’s easy!
